I’ve started noticing that many of my clients and the people in my circle are seemingly more entrepreneur-based than ever. I’ve also noticed that it seems like we can never keep up with our goals or ever get them from our dreams and onto paper- so I wanted to create a solution for just that. As someone who loves lists and is very goal oriented, this tool is incredibly helpful for me in my day to day as a parent and as a business owner. I bring you: The Weekly Mompreneur Checklist.
What’s In It?
At the start of each week, determine the focal message that you’re planning to share with your audience. Remember to tie into your monthly promotions, themes, seasons, etc. This will likely resonate with at least one of your weekly blog posts, but will also be present in your content posted to social media channels & in your e-mail blast.
For me, personally, I like to keep my focal message LARGE and in sight to ensure it stands out on the page while I’m working.
GOALS FOR THE WEEK:
Who doesn’t love lists? Remember to keep your goals to attainable, reachable goals for a one -week period. I suggest no more than 3 goals per week! Having longer lists can be helpful for long-term goals but overwhelming when looking at your immediateneeds.This list is intended to be your ABSOLUTES for the week. Choose your top three and then select your most important goal and put it on the line with the star.
Having a short, attainable list of things-to-do each week will help to accomplish those pesky tasks and keep you motivated as you progress.
We all know that with owning your own biz comes lots of research + learning. In order to become a master of a product, you need to trial it and dig deeper before sharing it with your name on it! Use this section to narrow down the topics you are researching this week! Be specific.
What do you want your subscribers and community to learn from you this week? Make sure to include the topics within your email headings and connect it to your social media accounts. Write the plan down here to hold yourself accountable!
Oh, the algorithms. Consistency is still the key to success for business platforms on social media. Make a plan for how often you will be posting and what you are planning to discuss. Stay tuned for a 30-Day Social Media Calendar! Don’t forget to be personal with your postings- your followers are also following you while they follow your business. Spend time curating posts that truly represent you and your brand, while getting the reach in your audience that you need. Mark the posts off as they are scheduled.
This section is an At-A-Glance look at what you’ve got planned for content this week. It is a great place to keep track of what extras will go within each post, at a high level. It helps to keep this in one place, so you can mark off the additional items as you place them within your posts. This is the meat and potatoes of your business- don’t skimp on the details!
The notes section is intended to encompass any other details or reminders you need for the week. Use it to brainstorm, for reminders, additional e-mails that need to be sent, or client referrals.
